During this month, my challenge was to create a much stronger testimonial ad that was visually engaging. I wanted to enhance the composition, legibility, and typography of this ad as well. The ad was created for a nonprofit organization, Action Against Hunger. By using a historical figure in the ad, the nonprofit will gain at attention of the audience with the intentions of gaining the support from the followers and fans of the historical figure, Nelson Mandela.

A couple of issues that the original testimonial ad suffered from was composition and legibility. The typography within the ads wasn't the best representation of the mood and tone of the overall ad. Beginning with the typography, I wanted to make the ad speak more to the audience, so they can relate what is being said to the visuals. The goal was to create typography that supports the messages, voice, and tone of the testimonial ad.
The original ad suffered from issue with typography, layout, composition, and legibility.
The first revision included changes to the header text, the composition, and the typography, as well. The original header text repeated exactly what was in the image, therefore, a description was added to provide more information about the image. The background was add to create more interest. I played with typography choices to provide more options.
Here, changes were made to enhance the header text, typography, and the legibility of the text. Drop shadows were add to help the text pop from the busy background. I also considered other color schemes with the text.
More changes were made to against provide a stronger more support description of the image. Other cosmetic changes were made as well.
